Barnwell – Harry “Monnie” Monroe Carden, 71 went into eternal rest February 14, 2019 surrounded by family. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Blackshear First Presbyterian Church, 432 Main Street, Blackshear, Georgia with Tony Batten officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 16th from 5-7 at Dyches Funeral Home, Barnwell, SC.
“Monnie” is the son of Lee Carden and the late Dr. John Carden. He was a graduate of Blackshear High School. He served in the Air Force. He was a member of Blackshear First Presbyterian Church. He loved, nature, hunting, fishing, and playing the drums. He loved spending time with his fur-baby “Playboy”. He was a loving husband, father and brother and will be missed by many.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Wilda Carden. One son Mathew Colby Carden of Healdsburg, California. One Sister, Penny (Rhys) Jones of Kennesaw, Georgia and two brothers, John “Trip” (Michelle) Carden of Eustis, Florida and Ty (Denise) Carden of Blackshear, Georgia.
Memorial may be made to Trinity Hospice of Aiken, 690 Medical Park Drive, Aiken, SC 29081.
The family has entrusted Dyches Funeral Home and Crematory with the arrangements.
