Barnwell – Dorris G. Polk, 83, went to be with her Heavenly Father December 22, 2016. A Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 4 pm at Dyches Funeral Home Chapel, Barnwell, SC, officiated by Reverend Rodney Creech.
Dorris was born November 15, 1933 in Missouri. She was the daughter of the late Walter Banks and Lela Hayes.
She was a homemaker and a member of Lighthouse Church of Elko. She loved animals, gardening and fishing. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Sister. She will be missed by many and a special niece Shawnette B. Cash of Barnwell, SC.
Ms. Polk is survived by three sons, Clarence Callison, Ridgeland, SC, Billy Joe Callison, Ocala, Florida and James Callison, Dyer, TN. Two brothers, Phillip Banks, Ontario CA and Tommy Banks, Buna, TX. One sister, Elizabeth Chavis, Barnwell, SC.
The family has entrusted Dyches Funeral Home and Crematory with the arrangements.
