Charlie Robert Sanders, 81, of Barnwell, SC, died Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Laurel Baye Health Care Williston, SC.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 21, 2014 at 4 pm with the Rev. Charlie Morris and Rev. Billy Mew officiating. Visitation will be from 3 pm to 4 pm prior to service at Dyches Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be held at Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery. He was married to the late Rose Marie Grubbs Sanders. He was a longtime Auto Mechanic for Grubbs Chevrolet and B & B Motors, then went into business for himself until retirement. He served in the National Guard and was a member of the Seven Pines Baptist Church. He loved fishing and spending time with his family. He was a loving Father and Grandfather and will be greatly miss by all.
Survivors are one Son Robert (Gibby) Sanders Sr., Two daughters Linda E. (Rock) Still, Frances Marie (Roy) Simmons. Three Sisters Frances Teague, Sheryl Ashmore, Brenda Sanders, Two Brothers, Willard O. Sanders and Ralph Sanders. Predeceased by Three Children, Sylvia Jean S. Cling, Charlie James Sanders, Rodney Dale Sanders. One Brother, Pete Sanders, Sr., and Two Sisters, Inita Cummings and Earlene Rimes. Grandchildren: Gibby Jr. (Amie)Sanders, Ronny (Quentin) Bruner and their mother Ronny N. Sanders, Jennifer (Tommie) Phillips, Shane Baxley, Shannon Baxley, Kevin James Sanders and his mother Trina D. Sanders. Great Grandchildren: Audrey, Simon, Haiden Sanders, Chase, Wyatt, McGuire Bruner, James Lee Phillips and Matthew, Macy Baxley.
